Time Spans: Another New Testament Lie

The New Testament claims that at the time Jesus was born,

o        Herod was king of Judea (Luke 1:5);

o        Quirinius was governor of Syria (Luke 2:2); and

o        Caesar Augustus ruled Rome (Luke 2:1).

There was never a time when these three spans overlapped.

NOTES:

Luke 1:5
"THERE was in the days of Herod, the king of
Judaea..."

Luke 2:2
"And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of
Syria."

Luke 2:1
"...there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed."
