THE PARABLE OF JOE DOAKES

Joe
Doakes is the one who invented all the traffic laws. He invented the red light
and the green light. He made the laws about right turns and left turns. He also
made it illegal to run people over. Offenders were to be fined or imprisoned.
In
the course of time, there were so many traffic offenders who were in prison, so
many fines to be paid, that Joe Doakes took his only son, John Doakes, bought
him a car and sent him out on the road. After about thirty years behind the
wheel, John had observed every single traffic law! He was the perfect driver!
He had satisfied all his father's demands! So, father Joe repealed all the
traffic laws he had made. His son had 'fulfilled' them all! But what about
those accumulated prison terms and fines?? Father Joe figured that one good
execution just about equalled all those penalties, so he sent his son to the
electric chair to pay debts of all those miserable motorists. They are all now
living in grace! The penalty has been paid, by Joe Doakes, who had invented
traffic laws that were just too hard to obey.
A
lot of stuff, you say? Laws are made to live by, to be observed, not to be
'fulfilled;?? One man cannot observe laws for other people?? Without traffic
laws the world of vehicles and transportation will be destroyed?? One guy on
the electric chair cannot free offenders from imprisonment or fines??
You
bet it's a lot of stuff! Yet, millions of brainwashed 'believers' all over the
world believe similar stuff about God, His Commandments, and His Way of
Salvation! According to Christian theology (but NOT according to God Himself!)
the Creator gave man a law he couldn't possibly obey. Man became a 'debtor' to
the Divine Bookkeeper. So God sent his 'son' to 'fulfill' the law, and to die
on a cross to 'pay' mankind's 'debt' to God. To make matters worse, the 'son'
was really God Himself, disguised as a man. God committed suicide on a cross to
pay mankind's debt. To WHOM did He pay however?? According to this theory, God
really paid - TO HIMSELF! He took money out of one pocket and put it into the
other one! God killed Himself to pay off debts owed to Him! BAD BUSINESS
PRACTICE AND BAD THEOLOGY!
