PROLOG AND DISCLAIMER
Hugh Fogelman
This site is dedicated to my two daughters and to all
other Jewish children who have not been raised in a formal Jewish education.
After my divorce, my daughters went out into the
world without having any “grounding” in their Jewish heritage. I failed to
teach them that they could not know where they are going until they understood
where they had been. They must go back
in Jewish history, in Jewish tradition and culture and see how the Torah has
affected mankind. They need to feel their Jewishness. As
a Jew, they can’t know their Jewishness without reaching beyond what they see
in today’s Christian society.
“Anyone who saves a single Jewish soul is as
if he saved an entire world” [Talmud (Sanhedrin 37a)]
is a beautiful passage that underscores the importance of Jews helping other
Jews. Even if only one Jewish person was being misled, our concern would be
great. When you multiply this by thousands of Jewish souls, the anguish and
concern is far more pronounced. Christian missionaries are relentless, spending
millions of dollars each year trying to convert Jews who are weak in their
faith, to their beliefs―basically saying that
our beliefs are wrong while theirs are right.
They claim that a Jew who accepts Jesus is a “completed Jew.” This
implies that all other Jews are incomplete.
As a Jewish parent, I failed in the mitzvah to
teach the commandments and the laws and the statutes. Deuteronomy instructs us
to teach “diligently to our children and shall talk of them (the laws, etc.)
when we sit in our house and when we walk by the way” (Deut 6:7). This is mentioned in the Shema every Friday
night in our Shabbat prayers. Therefore, I dedicate this site to my two
daughters, Gaye and Joy. As their father I did not to teach them about their
rich Jewish heritage, but now I pray these writings will open their eyes and
correct my failings.
The purpose of this site is not to convert
Christians to Judaism, but to prevent Jews from converting to Christianity
because of misinformation and deceptive tactics that have been perpetrated by
Missionaries. I show the irreconcilable differences between Judaism and
Christianity to convince Jews to remain Jews.
As a consequence of identifying these differences, many areas of
Christianity are exposed as invalid.
As Drashi wrote in The Problem With
Matthew, the main
problem with providing this information is: “For a Christian to deny the
divinity of Jesus is to discard the basic tenants of Christianity and go
against the core of what a Christian believes. For a Jew to accept the divinity
of Jesus is to deny the basic tenants of Judaism and go against the core of
what a Jew believes. The idea that a person can do both goes
against the tenants of Judaism and Christianity; despite the fact that
Christian Missionaries use that exact strategy to convert Jews.”
The following pages represent years of research and
study. I would anxiously read any Bible and literature I could get my hands
on. Once I began comparing I couldn’t
stop. It made me feel alive and, like an
addict, having to read more and more. I
found that one has to be very careful when reading Christian works since many
of their writers on biblical subjects are filled with bias. Black is black and
white is white, but with Christian writings, one has to also read between the
lines.
My thoughts expressed in the Christianity-revealed
site are a combination of my life’s experiences and my studies. I give thanks
to John Stone and his three Jewish web sites and to the various learned Jews
who have contributed to my research and this endeavor.
My goal is not to criticize Christians, but to
teach them about Judaism and to show how the mistakes in the New Testament
happened and why. I will also explain what the old testament (Jewish
Scriptures) prophesies were really talking about and elaborate on a few
surprises such as Mark & Luke and Paul were never disciples and never even
met Jesus.
I hope you find it as interesting as it has been
for me. By all means, this is not a kosher site nor do I profess anything I say
is Halakhah (Jewish Law). Please feel free to
discuss, not preach, anything written on this site.

In our times, it is crucial that every Jew who knows anything
must be a teacher to others. Those who can teach children must teach children.
But all must teach so says Rabbi Tzvi Freeman.
