Jesus’
birth name was Yeshua ben
Joseph. This means the Hebrew name of the son of Joseph the carpenter was
Joshua. If there had been birth
certificates 2,000 years ago, the name recorded on Jesus’ certificate would
have been “Joshua.”
What
is disturbing, something Christians overlook, is Luke wrote “when the eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of
the child, his name was called Jesus, which was so named of the angel”
(Luke
(1)
a person who is not a Christian, Jew, or Muslim.
(2)
a person who has no religion.
The
footnote says; “pagan specifically refers to one of the ancient polytheistic
people, especially the Greeks and Romans.
Paul,
wrote he would gladly become a servant of any and all to win them to Christ, “And unto the Jew I
became as a Jew, that I may gain the Jews; to them that are under the law (the
Torah), as under the law that I might gain them that are under the law; to them
that are without law (the Gentiles), I might gain them that are without law; to
the weak, I became weak that I may gain them” (l Corinthians
9:20-22). In Acts of the Apostles and Paul’s own letters, Paul shows that he
was willing to distort the truth. “If through my lies
God’s truth abounds to His glory, why am I still being condemned as a sinner?”
(Romans 3:7) “In
every way, whether in pretence or in
truth, Jesus is proclaimed and in that I rejoice”. (Philippians
1:18) Sounds like a modern politician, or a car salesman, the guy is a
self-proclaimed liar. He says whatever the people want to hear!
Early
Christianity picked up on Paul lies and saw lying helped to convert gullible
pagans to their new religion. Today, Christianity follows the teachings of Paul
and uses every dishonest trick to convert gullible Jews. Using Paul’s tactic,
when talking to a Jew, the Christian cult, Jews for Jesus remembered; “And unto the Jew
I became as a Jew, that I may gain the Jews; to them that are under the law
(the Torah) ” (l Corinthians
Christians
try to have it both ways, depending to whom they are talking, they will call
Jesus Yeshua to Jews, trying to make him appear
Jewish - and Jesus to everyone else making him appear by his familiar pagan
Greek name. How conveniently these missionaries forget that the Gospel of John
tried to separate the pagan Jesus from those Jews and Judaism.
On
the lighter side, all this is really very simply explained, like most of the
Christian bible discrepancies.
According to Christians, Jesus’ name was supposed to be Immanuel as it was
foretold by the prophets and recorded in the Christian bible―Isaiah
7.14 “The virgin will be with child and
will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel” But the birth
certificate got screwed up because Mary wrote Immanuel on the birth certificate
and somewhere along the line it got mixed up.
I
heard that it was confused with a Hispanic mother's newborn whose name was Jesus,
just like my gardener. Go figure! Somewhere in the world there was a Hispanic
kid with the moniker "Immanuel" whose mother kept calling
"him" Jesus.
