GOD'S PURPOSE IN CREATING CHRISTIANITY
The Lubavitcher Rebbe1 was once asked what
God's purpose was in creating
Christianity, given the nature of the Christian religion
and the ways it's been practiced over the centuries.
His answer was that Christianity gave the non-Jewish world
the concept of a moshiach and an eventual redemption. The fact that Christianity got
all the details wrong doesn't detract from the fact that they
previously didn't even have the idea in mind.
