DID GOD SPEAK TO THE WRITERS OF THE NT?
Hugh Fogelman
“As G-d created our minds, He expects us
to use our reasoning together with our faith. Faith is not a substitute
for reason, but a development from it and alongside it.”
We know that God
directly spoke to Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and indirectly to His Prophets.
How do we know this? The Hebrew Bible reveals it; Torah given by God in a
National Revelation to millions standing at the foot of Mt Sinai about 3,315
years ago. Also the other two major religions, Catholics and Protestants say
so. One sure way of knowing what you are reading is true is to go to your
opposition―if they say it is true, you know it’s true for what purpose
would they gain by lying?
The Hebrew Bible is the SOURCE book―the Holy Book written by God through Moses and God’s prophets. Christians confirm this, by having their translation of the Hebrew Bible in the front of their bible. Think about it; if the Hebrew Scriptures are false, why do the Christians put them in the front of their New Testament for authority and validation? It is either all false or all holy. Christians cannot pick and choose which parts they want to make Holy.
Throughout the Hebrew Scriptures it is written that God said this
and God said that. On the other hand,
just where in the New Testament does it say that God said anything except for only two scenes: one in which the dove did something on Jesus’ head1 and the other was the
so-called Transfiguration2
(whatever that means). And what did God say in the Christian Bible—from a cloud
or heaven? Only one thing, “This
is my beloved Son: hear him.” God did not give any commandments, laws or
guidance, nothing except “...my son…hear
him.” With this God supposedly turned over the reins and stood back while
his “son” took over the “family
business” of Creation. If you believe that, I have some ocean front property in
God talked with His Chosen People (the Jews) through His prophets
over and over again. The Christian bible confirms this every time they use the
Jewish prophets as authority in an attempt to validate their new “replacement”
religion. But then the Christian Bible decides to change the rules by which God
conducted His business. In Christianity, God no longer speaks, Jesus does
instead. So, Christians say that the people whom God chose, set aside and spoke
to, ever since the beginning, are now to listen to another? NO! I think not!
Christians forget the scriptures in the front of their Bible
records God as saying (when God was speaking, before Christianity silenced
Him):
“I will make of you a great nation, And I will bless you;
I will make your name great, And you shall be a blessing.
I will bless those who bless you And curse him that curses you;
And all the families of the earth Shall bless themselves by
you.” (Genesis 12.2-3)
Who was God talking about?
“And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the
LORD,
“I fell in love with
And I have called [him] My son Ever since
And I’ll bet your Christian clergy taught you that Jesus was God’s
son, His firstborn! And you blindly accepted it without knowing the truth in
the SOURCE DOCUMENT, the Hebrew Bible. The correct answer was right in front of
your very own bible all the time, but you did not take the time to study it, to
learn the truths of Torah!
This is what happens when you have false scriptures which silence
God’s voice; truth is lost and idolatry walks in.
So again I ask, just how many times did God the Father speak to
the writers of the New TESTament? Christians will refer to the Transfiguration,
but think about this; of the three so-called witnesses, only one (Peter) wrote
about it―why? You would think it would have been so important that more
than one person would have written about it, and what Peter wrote was no big
deal as he briefly mentions the event.
Don’t forget the National Revelation at
“But take utmost care and watch yourselves scrupulously, so that
you do not forget the things that you
saw with your own eyes and so that they do not fade from your mind as long as
you live. And make them known to your children and to your children’s
children: The day you stood before the Lord your God at Horeb, when the Lord
said to Me, Gather the people to Me
that I may let them hear My words, in order that they may learn to revere Me as
long as they live on earth, and may so
teach their children.” You came forward and stood
at the foot of the mountain. The mountain was ablaze with flames to the very
skies, dark with densest clouds. The Lord spoke to you out of the fire; you
heard the sound of words but perceived no shape-nothing but a voice. He declared to you the covenant that He commanded you to observe, the Ten Commandments; and He inscribed them on two tablets of
stone.” (Deut 4.9-13)
And in all of the Christian Bible, all the Christians have God
saying is “…my son…hear him.” And now you know who
God’s son really is. Answer
for yourself: Do you now see the fraud of Christianity?
If God Did Not Speak, What Did Jesus
Say in the Christian Bible?
How do Christians know if Jesus really said what he is recorded as having said? Based
on Christian writings, especially their “gospels,” there is no way to know the
real Jesus. Were there any eyewitnesses to Jesus for the authors to
remember each word that Jesus said? The common reply is, of course all the
disciples heard Jesus talk. But the sad truth is how do Christians know any
disciple wrote anything? No one knows who wrote the Gospels!
The fact is the “gospels” were
anonymous manuscripts and it was the Roman church councils who assigned
authors' names to each of them. It
is long established that the Early Church Fathers admitted altering and
changing these writings to fit their own concept of what they thought Jesus
should be. Father Eusebius admitted to
have his copyists edit manuscripts to suit his own doctrines, and then
canonized those writings.
So the current “gospels” are far from
any original manuscript. Even the originals cannot be evaluated as truth
of Jesus. If only Christians would do some honest research and start
using their heads for something besides hat racks, all this would be apparent.
But again, why did your clergy not tell you these truths?
The Hebrew Bible is the SOURCE Document; the Holy Book
written by
God thru
Moses and God’s prophets. Why else would Christians carry a translation of it
in the front of their bible?
The NT attempts to base itself upon the “old” Source Document.
However, the “OT (Original Text)” is self-sustaining. It is so truthful, that
the Christian Fathers had to alter and forge the OT to suite their needs and
concepts―selling Jesus. Torah, the SOURCE DOCUMENT by which all
must agree or be rendered false, stands today as it was given over 3,300 years
ago.
Therefore, Torah stands as
the source for all! So, there is no need to say anything negative about the
Hebrew Bible nor is there any need to defend it! Christianity approved it―so should you.
If the Christian Bible’s New Testament (NT) is incorrect or contains errors,
that does nothing to the “Original Text.” If the “OT/Source Document” has
errors, then the “NT” which is founded upon the “old” is but a house built upon
sand.
Think about this example. Who would you ask to understand the
meaning and concept of Communism, a personal student of Karl Marx or someone
who read some of Karl Marx’s books? Of course the answer would be that the
student who talked with Karl Marx and asked him questions about his thinking
would be the one you would seek for the truth.
The same thing applies to the Hebrew Bible. Moses wrote the Torah
in the desert while God was talking and explaining what to write. When finished, Moses explained it to the
Israelites, and Moses explained more to Aaron. Aaron in turn passed the
intimate details to the priests, when in turn passed it down to the rabbis, who
taught their students, who became future rabbis.
Now, who do you believe, who do you
really trust; the word of God Himself in the Hebrew Bible or unknown authors,
Catholic copyists and editors and your clergy―all who have told you that
God was a dead man and that God inspired the unknown authors, something that
cannot be proven or seen?
"So, be honest with yourself; how
many times did God talk to Jesus or anyone in the Christian bible, the New
Testament? Why were there not any witnesses to the two events (baptism and
transfiguration) that told their children, who in turn told their children and
so on?" Contemporary historians are totally silent on this as they
were on Jesus or any disciple.
Sorry, it was all just a tale told by
some authors trying to sell their new “replacement” religion, knowing that
anything they wrote could not be verified.
Sadly, all that Christians know of
these events are what they read in their own bible, the NT―not New
Testament, but “Nice Try."
FOOTNOTES:
1. And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. (Matthew 3:16-17)
2. For
he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there
came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. 18 And
this voice which came from heaven we heard,
when we were with him in the holy mount. (2 Peter 1:17-18)
